About Me

     Born in Fargo North Dakota 1944. Lived in small North Dakota farm town of Lamoure till grade school. I started working in fourth grade selling newspapers on a Grand Forkes N.D.downtown street corner graduated to a paper route and a lawn service. I washed dishes, pumped gas work for the phone company and a orphanage run by nuns, graduated from high school I was elected class president did sports radio show, lettered in three sports.

     Took me six years to get my Moorhead State college degree and with a College sweetheart and two small children we set off to teach school in Wisconson.  I conducted  community ed. classes, coached football, wrestling, got elected president teachers (WEA) union, fought for their recognition as sole bargaining agent. we  Moved to North Minneapolis I went to work as a machinist before landing a second teaching job in a Highland Park privite high school teaching art coaching wrestling. Moved to   East Side again teaching in a privite high school, and then on to selling graphic art supplies around the metro and the Southern part of State Wisconsin and South Dakota..

      Five more years in the machine trade then on to normalizing handicapped living conditions for adults while at the same time teaching for St. Paul Public schools accumulating 1000 substitutions during the weekdays.... working 7 days a week..

     Retired Teracher, The last 12 years I've been Part-time chemical dependency Teck. for Juvenile Treatment center. Volunteer as a community organizer planning music Iive secular venues in churches social clubs and homeless shelters.

John Harrington served two years (2010-2012) and withdrew from his second race after the DFL endorsement conventionin 2012 leavin the field open to a primary contest just like last time. Foung Hawj won that promary 2012 General election is in November 2012
